Free Tools #6 of 6: Do you Know HowNetWorks?

Using Ethereal can be a PITA. This is the case mainly because ethereal captures all the traffic that it comes in contact with. Wouldn't it be great if they made a tool that would help you limit the traffic to just the individual flows between systems and over particular protocols? Well, they do, and the tool to do it was VMware's Appliance Challenge winner last year: HowNetWorks. The tool comes as a pre-configured VMware appliance you can download from VMware's web site. Definitely cool when you're trying to track down networking problems.

Find out HowNetWorks at: http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/
